Marcus Avalos
Marcus Avalos is our Lead Pastor and founding member of Crossroads Church. Born in Seguin, Texas, he and his wife Natalie raised 3 girls, Erin, Amber, Bianca, and grandson Hayden. In 1992, he received his degree in Pastoral Ministry from Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Prior to planting Crossroads Church Seguin in 2007, he served as an Outreach/Associate Pastor at a local church for 20 years. His 38 yrs of ministry experience gives him the ability to bring a practical teaching style to those eager to understand and implement spiritual truth. When he has free time, he enjoys watching UFC, riding his E-bike, and working outside on his John Deer tractor. He also loves reading and writing anywhere near water or nature and going on dates & trips with Natalie. For those who have ears to hear, Pastor Marcus is a Peacemaker (9) who values Serenity and has the gift of Rest.

Natalie Avalos
Natalie Avalos is one of the Co-Pastors and founders of Crossroads Church. She serves as the Women’s Ministry Director and Office Manager at Crossroads currently. Natalie and her husband have been inseparable since ages 13 & 14 years of age and married since 1985. They have 3 beautiful adult daughters that are married to wonderful sons in law’s. They also have 5 precious grandchildren that range from toddlers to young adults. Family life is the most important part of serving the Lord together for her and Pastor Marcus, their bio family and church family mean a lot to them. Natalie has had many jobs after graduating from Bible School, and Attending SAGU College. Professions as a Pharmacy Tech, Christian School assistant, Public School College and Career Coordinator, Special Ed Resource Service Manager, Loan Processor, Project Manager, Finance Administrator, and lastly as a Director Of Volunteer Services for a Treatment Center. In 2007 when the church was birthed Natalie came to work along the side of her husband to build up the Church together. In her free time she can be found hanging out with friends and family, enjoying the mountains of Colorado, Taos NM, Santa Fe and anywhere that the cold weather resides. Her deepest passion in life is to see people restored to their authentic purpose in life! She also collects hearts and photos of heart images found in nature. Her favorite hearts to collect are the ones found in the people she loves!

Joël Malm
Joël Malm is our Teaching Pastor. He is the founder of Summit Leaders where he uses outdoor adventure and leadership coaching to help people find their calling and pursue a vision for their lives. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and a M.S. in Counseling.
He speaks at churches, conferences, and corporate events around the country and is the author of Vision Map (Moody Press), Fully You, Guided by Thunder, Love Slows Down and Connecting the Dots. (Salem/Regnery)
He and his wife Emily and daughter Elise love to travel.

Krysta Marmolejo
Krysta Marmolejo serves as the Executive Administrator at Crossroads Church, where she combines her passion for ministry with her leadership skills. Previously, she served as the Children’s Director at Crossroads, investing in the spiritual growth of young hearts.
Raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Krysta moved to Seguin in 2017 after graduating from Bible school. She has a deep love for people and a heart for service, which is reflected in everything she does. Outside of work, she enjoys expressing her creativity through art, calligraphy, and painting.
Krysta has been married to her husband, Justin, since 2020, and together they have two beautiful daughters, Corinth and Neriah, who bring immense joy to their lives. As a family, they share a love for college football, cheering on the Texas Longhorns. However, NFL season sparks a friendly rivalry—Justin is a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, while Krysta stands by the Washington Redskins.
Above all, Krysta is dedicated to equipping others for the sake of the gospel. One of her favorite scriptures, Psalm 116, serves as a reminder of God’s grace and redemption: “Though fallen low, God raised me up.”

Kate Peña
Kate met her husband Edward in 2012, and have been married since 2016. They have two beautiful little girls, Kes'Lynn (6) and Ensleigh (3). She has been doing a wonderful job these past few weeks and we can't wait to see what God has in store for her! Kate says... "Please don’t be afraid to come up and talk to me when you see me! I would love to get to know you better. It might take me a while to match everyone's name with their face but I’ll get there... y’all I promise! I love you all so very much! See y’all Sunday!"

Tom Crick
Tom Crick is passionate about serving churches to get healthy, grow, and create environments for life transformation. He has been in Executive Pastor and consulting roles including: Celebrate Community Church Sioux Falls SD, First Baptist Church Wimberley TX and 20 years at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest California. He served in church vision delivery and management during those times. He continues to be instrumental in GROW Group health creating and supporting home discipleship groups, Men’s Ministries and operational support. He has been in full time ministry for over 25 years after over 22 years of Senior Management experience in the high technology workplace in national and global positions. He answered Gods call in 2000 to full time vocational ministry. He is the co-author of “Sleeping Giant”, a Men’s Ministry cornerstone book published by Lifeway in 2008 training Men’s Pastors in developing men’s ministries. Jane and Tom have been married for 45 years and have been serving churches nationwide in Church Health . They have two married children: Sonja 38 and Teddy 34.

Jeremiah Roby

Mark Ramirez
Mark Ramirez is a Ministry Intern here at Crossroads Church. He wears multiple hats during the week, assisting primarily in our Production, Worship and Youth Ministries. Mark was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas with his parents and older brother and dog Max. Mark is working towards a degree in Bible and Theology. Mark has been serving in church, but specifically in worship, since he was 16 years old. He says, “God has blessed me with musical gifts, so I will use those gifts for the glory of God to help others come to Christ, just as I have.” Mark's free time consists of playing golf, listening to music and always trying to find a new book to read. His favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
