Mark 4:3-4, 13-15 3 Listen! Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And it happened, as he sowed, that some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds of the air came and devoured it.

13 And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then will you understand all the parables? 14 The sower sows the word. 15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts.

WAYSIDE SOIL

a natural path, a road, a highway side,

a crossroad that takes you from one field or farm to the next. A familiar path that has been trampled on, hardened, but still worthy enough for the Sower to scatter seed on.

WAYSIDE SOIL

the primary function is to create a path for the Sower to get to his field. It takes a miracle for a seed to produce in this type of soil…but miracles still happen.

OBSTACLES OF WAYWARD SOIL

1. SOIL IS HARDENED & TRAMPLED ON
2. SEED SCATTERED IS BAIT FOR SATAN

OPPORTUNITY OF WAYWARD SOIL

1. SATAN KNOWS THE POTENTIAL OF SEED
2. IF THE SEED ENTERS THE SOIL WHILE ITS GETTING BURIED AND TRAMPLED ON, THE SEED STILL HAS A CHANCE!

EXAMPLES OF WAYWARD SOIL

1. CHILDREN OF ISRAEL
2. PRODIGAL SON
3. YOU AND I

Proverbs 28:13-14 13 He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. 14 Happy is the man who is always reverent, But he who hardens his heart will fall into calamity.

A SEED THAT IS BEING PLANTED LOOKS NO DIFFERENT THAN A SEED GETTING BURIED.

YOU HAVE TO DECIDE!

Some things are not natural to the land. THEY MUST BE PLANTED!

YOU AND I ARE PLANTED BY GOD!

NONE of us should have grown in this WAYSIDE SOIL but God said “LIVE” You may FEEL buried, but you’re planted here!

Psalms 92:13 “Those that are PLANTED in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.”

To be planted is destiny CONCEALED; To increase is destiny REVEALED

Psalms 126:4-6 4 And now, GOD, do it again - bring rains to our drought-stricken lives, So those who planted their crops in despair will shout “Yes!” at the harvest, So those who went off with heavy hearts carrying seed to sow will come home rejoicing, with armloads of blessing.
