Do It Again
His Word, Vision and Purpose
These three words encapsulate a powerful message about persistence, resilience, and the strength of faith. Life often presents us with challenges, obstacles, and moments where we’ve put in effort, faced setbacks, yet are encouraged to persevere. In these moments, the notion of “doing it again” becomes a guiding principle for achieving success. Consider the story of inventors, scientists, and visionaries who faced repeated failures before achieving their breakthroughs. Thomas Edison, when asked about his numerous unsuccessful attempts to create the light bulb, famously said, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” His determination to ‘do it again’ eventually led to success. In our lives, too, we encounter situations that demand persistence. Whether it’s in relationships, careers, personal goals, or faith journeys, setbacks are part of the process. But it’s in the decision to ‘do it again,’ to get up and keep going, where the potential for success lies. This phrase also carries profound spiritual significance. It reflects the nature of faith—a belief in something not yet seen. In the Bible, there are instances where individuals had to trust and ‘do it again’ in their faith walk. From Abraham’s obedience to God’s call to Noah’s building of the ark, these figures demonstrated an unwavering commitment to act on their faith, even when circumstances seemed dire. The power of “do it again” lies not only in repetition but in the belief that persistence breeds success. It’s about embracing the process, learning from failures, and staying committed to our goals and beliefs, despite adversity. However, ‘doing it again’ doesn’t mean mindless repetition. It involves learning from past experiences, adjusting our approach, seeking guidance, and being open to new strategies. Moreover, the ‘do it again’ mentality fosters resilience. It strengthens our character, nurtures patience, and instills the courage needed to overcome obstacles. It teaches us not to be discouraged by setbacks but to use them as stepping stones toward progress. As we navigate our lives, let us embrace the essence of ‘do it again.’ Let’s commit to pursuing our dreams, nurturing our relationships, and deepening our faith, knowing that our persistence and unwavering belief can lead us to the fulfillment of our goals and the realization of our deepest desires. “Do it again.” For in doing so, you may discover that your greatest achievements lie just beyond your next attempt.

DO IT AGAIN
IT = HIS WORD; HIS VISION; HIS PURPOSE
BIG IDEA OF SERIES:
1. GOD LOVES ROUTINE; HE IS FAITHFUL
• 1 Thess. 5:24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do IT
2. WE NEED TO BE FAITHFUL
• Faithful to the conviction / vision He has placed in our hearts
• Prov 29:18 - people without a vision will perish or run wild, aimlessly
• Habakkuk 2:2 - And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it
• John 15:16 “You didn’t choose me, remember; I chose you, and put you in the world to bear fruit, fruit that won’t spoil. As fruit bearers, whatever you ask the Father in relation to me, he gives you.
• “If you want to be FRUITFUL you need to be SEEDFUL.” - This comes by spending time with Jesus. He begins to make DEPOSITS of His will, His heart, and purpose into your life.
• “Before you call I will answer; While you’re still speaking I will hear.” – IS 65:24.
• THEY BROUGHT ME INFORMATION; GOD GAVE ME REVELATION.
3 POSITIONS OF HUMANITY
NO VISION = live wild and aimless.
IMPAIRED or BLURRY VISION – lack focus.
HEAVENLY VISION – live with intention.
— Mark 8:23-25
They arrived at Bethsaida. Some people brought a sightless man and begged Jesus to give him a healing touch. Taking him by the hand, Jesus led him, as his sighted guide, outside the village. He placed his saliva on the man’s eyes and covered them with his hands. Then he asked him, “Now do you see anything?” “Yes,” he said. “My sight is coming back! I’m beginning to see people, but they look like trees—walking trees.” Jesus put his hands over the man’s eyes a second time and made him look up. The man opened his eyes wide, and he could see everything perfectly. His eyesight was completely restored!”
LESSONS FROM A BLIND MENTOR
1. Physical sight is Important. Spiritual sight is Required.
2. Find Friends who are willing to go to Jesus on your behalf.
3. Jesus still takes people by the hand away from the village where there are distractions.
4. Don’t be moved by the methods Jesus uses to bring you vision. Trust Him.
5. Jesus is not moved by our lack of focus or clarity. He will “do it again and again” until we GET IT
6. We will never get VISION until we are willing to LOOK UP.
TAKE HOME:
Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, • let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and • let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, • looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,
Philippians 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
