MOMENTUM - Faith In Action

1. Real change requires consistent action. -- It doesn’t matter how slow you go, as long as you do not stop. (SPEAK TO YOUR BODY)

2. You can’t plan your life. But you can choose your direction and trust God with the details. -- Success is a direction, not a destination.

3. The resistance you face on the way to pursuing God’s will for your life is typically the very thing he’ll use to get you there.

The obstacle is the way

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. (stop your momentum) Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

MOMENTUM THOUGHTS

1. MOMENTUM IS GOD-INITIATED – Philippians 1:6 "He that began a good work in you will complete it till the end."

2. MOMENTUM REQUIRES FOCUS – Hebrews 12:1-2 tells us to fix our eyes on Jesus and run the race with perseverance.

3. MOMENTUM IS FUELED BY FAITH -- Galatians 6:9 "Let us not grow weary in doing good because we’ll reap a harvest if we don’t give up"

APPLICATION

1. Where have you lost momentum in your life?
 Is it in your faith, prayer, relationships, a God-given dream?

2. What’s one practical step you can take this week to regain momentum? a. set aside prayer time b. reconnect with a loved one c. serve as a small group host. Be in COMMUNITY.
