Proverbs 29:18
“Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.
Proverbs 16:9
The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
Key Point:
You can’t plan your life. But you can choose your direction and trust God with the details.
Matthew 6:31-33
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Key Point:
Success is a direction, not a destination.
Habakkuk 2:2-3
“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
We write the vision because:
- It holds us accountable
- It reminds us when it takes longer than we expected.
