Key Point:
Real, lasting change requires consistent action. (And it tends to be slow...)
Juan 1:1-5
En el principio ya existía el Verbo, y el Verbo estaba con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios. Él estaba con Dios en el principio. Por medio de él todas las cosas fueron creadas; sin él, nada de lo creado llegó a existir.
John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Key Point:
If you want to know what someone really believes (and values), look at what they do, not what they say or think or feel.
James 2:14-18
What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds.
Intentions mean nothing.
“Pray as though everything depended on God; Work as though everything depended on you.” – Ignatius
Key Point:
It doesn’t matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop.
